Article Image The Old York Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution recently honored six York County high school seniors with Good Citizen Awards. The students were selected for the honor by their teachers and peers. The recipients included (front) Brianna Cilley of Wells High School and Carol Emery of Traip Academy and (back) Anabel Wold of Marshwood High School, Kasey Woodworth of Noble High School, Margaret Platt of Berwick Academy and Sarah Loeffler of York High School. Wold also won the annual essay contest, and her essay will now be entered in the statewide competition for college scholarships. Old York DAR Regent Moira Smith conducted the meeting and Good Citizens Chair Ann Siegel presented each student with a certificate, pin, American flag and monetary gift from the Old York Chapter.

Phillip K. Alibrandi of York has been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2007 semester at Regis College in Weston, Mass.

Reuben W. Blum, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey R. Blum of York Harbor, is a winter 2008 honor student of Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, N.H. Blum is in grade 12.

Virginia P. Lee, daughter of Michael and Martha Lee, has made the Dean's List for the fall 2007 semester at the University of New England. Her major is biochemistry and she continues to play lacrosse for UNE.

Andrew Potter of York has earned Dean's List recognition for the fall 2007 semester at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Mass.

Anna W. Rasche of York, a junior at Boston University majoring in archaeology, was named to the Dean's List for the fall 2007 semester.
