The New Hampshire Junior Wildcats Hockey Team, Bantam level, based out of the rink at Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, N.H., won the championship in their bracket on Easter Sunday morning at 8 a.m. The team includes three York eight-graders, Ryan Curtin (standing, second from the right), Alex Arau (kneeling, first from the right) and Sam Jennison (standing, fourth from the left).

The 10th Annual YORKWISE Auction is set for this Saturday, April 5, at York High School and among the items being featured this year is this five-foot in diameter basketball hoop, ready to be auctioned off by Town Assessor Rick Mace and local auctioneer Howard Koeppel, both seen here. Other items include a Wilderness Motorsport's Husqvarna lawn tractor, a motor scooter and even braces from Atlantic Orthodontic Center. Basketball champs!
The York fourth-grade team recently captured its third championship in three tourney tries when York defeated Marshwood in a close game participating in the third/fourth grade division of the Marshwood Tournament.

York PeeWee Hockey wins Seacoast Championship
York's PeeWee hockey team never quit or gave up trying as they came off a losing season and took first place at the Seacoast Hockey League's Championship Tournament.

York’s Colin Bond competes in USA Swimming Eastern Sectionals
York High School junior Colin Bond has achieved what many only dream of: competing in the USA Swimming Eastern Sectional Championships, the final level of competition before Nationals and Olympic trials.

Local swimmers compete at regional meets, New England championships
The Seacoast Swimming Association recently sent 57 of its swimmers, including several from the local area, to the New England Regional Meet at Seekonk High School in Seekonk, Mass.

Ogunquit resident running Boston Marathon to help others
The Boston Marathon is known for its unpredictable New England weather, hills that appear 17 miles into the course and spirited spectators including the young women of Wellesley College whose memorable yells and offers of kisses come as a surprise to many runners.
