YORK BEACH - Latin rhythms, the beautiful voice of Karen Stathoplos and upbeat fashions from Saco Bay Classics will fill the new Union Bluff Meeting House on Sunday, June 1, when the International Women's Club of New England presents its Annual Fashion Show and Luncheon.
The event, titled "Feel the Beat," will begin with cocktails at 11 a.m., accompanied by the piano styling of Ray de Marco.
Following a unique South American-themed luncheon especially designed by the Union Bluff's executive chef, club members will model clothing for all ages and figures.
There will be a raffle with prizes including a three-hour sail out of Wentworth Harbor as well as a home-stay weekend in one of Maine's favorite resort areas.
"Feel the Beat" is open to all.
Over the past 15 years, through this and other fundraising events, the club has given more than $150,000 to local programs serving women and children.
Last year's recipients were Southern Maine Parent Awareness, Immigration Legal Advocacy Project and Arts In Reach.
The 2008 main recipient charity will be announced at the June 1 event.
The International Women's Club of New England invites women in the Seacoast area to be a part of this event and to join the group as members.
For reservations or additional information please call Fashion Show Chairwoman Lee Regan-Jacks at 363-7182.
