OGUNQUIT - Ogunquit Performing Arts has announced that the Eighth Annual Ogunquit International Fiddlers' Contest with old-time country music and the reincarnation of the Radio Gang will be taking place at the Dunaway Center on May 17 at 7:30 p.m.
As it has done for the past seven years, Ogunquit Performing Arts will bring together outstanding fiddlers of New England and Canada for the contest and jamboree.
Additionally, the audience will be entertained with old-time country music with the new iteration of the Radio Gang featuring Alan MacHale, John Roc, Herman McGee and Sally Roc in this doubleheader of music that is not to be missed. If you like old-time fiddlin' you will be hard pressed to find a more exciting group of fiddlers.
Fiddlers will be competing for significant cash prizes donated by Ogunquit Rotary, Life Family Chiropractic Center and Ogunquit Insurance.
Tickets are $12 advance or $15 at the door. Advance tickets are available at the Dunaway Center, Ogunquit Camera Shop and Ogunquit Welcome Center.
It is also not too late to sign up to enter the competition.
