After over a month of waiting, local officials got the news they had been hoping for from the state: that the York School Department's alternative plan to the school consolidation mandate has been approved.

A local school bus driver was credited with staying calm in the face of an extremely harrowing situation on May 7 when a motorcyclist crashed into a bus transporting middle and high school students on Ridge Road.
