Jonathan Edwards will be performing a live concert at Jonathan's Restaurant in Ogunquit on June 13 at 8 p.m. The word "legend" is often used to describe veteran folk/rocker Jonathan Edwards, whose 1971 million-selling song "Sunshine" ("Sunshine go away today...") brought him instant fame. He has recorded 15 albums, collaborated with artists like Emmylou Harris and Jimmy Buffett and has performed in theater and commercials as well as doing movie soundtracks, television series narration and record production. His 1987 children's album, "Little Hands," was selected by the National Library Association as a "Notable Children's Recording." His most recent CD, "Live in Massachusetts" was released in December of 2006, and Media Artists just released a 90-minute documentary of his career, entitled, "That's What Our Life Is." Jonathan's Ogunquit started its 2008 concert series this May with John Gorka and Pete Best performances. Jonathan Edwards, who has been a regular performer for Jonathan's Ogunquit's annual concert series - with his charisma charming all those who come to enjoy an evening of live entertainment - will be the first of many concerts to come this summer. Those who wish to dine at Jonathan's will receive preferred seating for the concert, which is held in the Upstairs Ballroom. Tickets and reservations are available on line. Tickets are $20 in advance, plus a $10 show credit for dessert or beverages, and are available on line at www.jonathansrestaurant.com.
