These two lovely ladies are Hugs and Kisses. The pair came to us after being abandoned by their previous owners. Hugs, who is smoke colored, and Kisses, who is black, are both 10 years old and must stay together. Their dream is to find a nice forever family that is willing to bring them both home. Jake is a quiet guy looking for that special someone who will understand his shy personality and give him the chance to blossom into the fantastic loving cat he really is. Jake isn't cut out for shelter life and dreams of the day he finds that quiet, stable, well-balanced household he's longing for. Once he is warmed up to his family, he will politely seek your attention, rubbing against your legs asking for a scratch under the chin. He enjoys the company of feline friends and would not object to going to a home where they reside as long as they will be nice to him. Jake loves to perch in a windowsill checking out all the interesting things outside from the safety of indoors. He will make the perfect addition to a home where he can have time to adjust and relax while making the bond with his new special loved ones.

His friend here is named Kitty and they would love nothing more than to go home together. Kitty is an eight-year-old spayed female with a short tabby and white coat. Here we have one of our long term residents, Max. He is a four-year-old neutered male who has a handsome medium length brown tiger and white coat. Max came to the Animal Welfare Society because his previous owner could no longer have him. This beautiful boy anxiously waits for that special someone to come and scoop him up. THE DOGS
Chester
Chester is a brave old soul, looking to embark on his new adventure; finding a family to call his own. Being an older guy at 12 years old, Chester is looking for a retirement home where he can spend his golden years curled up at his owners' feet in a soft, comfy dog bed. He enjoys the company of gentle canine companions who are well mannered and respect his docile personality. Cats, on the other hand, are not something Chester will be willing to share his new home with; so we will be sending him to a feline-free home only. Like a big ol' teddy bear, Chester loves spending time with his special people as much as possible, cuddling up to them and giving them soft wet kisses. He finds it very difficult to be left alone and would do best in a home where someone will be keeping him company most of the time. Older kids who are respectful and will interact with Chester in a positive manner would be best for him. If you're looking for a perfect copilot, Chester will be more than happy to ride shotgun, as he loves to go for rides. He is a wonderful guy with so much love to give - he's just waiting for that one lucky family to find him!

Raja
They call me Raja, a regal name for a dog from very humble beginnings. I was living at a puppy mill when the state asked the Animal Welfare Society to take care of me. That was 10 months ago and all the other dogs and puppies have found homes. Now it's my turn! A simple home with a loving family is all this middle-aged American bulldog needs. My friends at the shelter have kept me busy while I wait for my family to adopt me. I have gone to mobile adoption events, a fashion show and one of my favorite volunteers took me to obedience classes here at the shelter. Here I am in my graduate attire! I am currently taking Canine Good Citizen Classes. I am on the shy side, so it takes me a while to warm up to people, but it is worth the wait; I bond deeply and am very affectionate to the people close to me.

My name is Kami and I am a two-and-a-half-year-old pitbull terrier. My family could no longer keep me so the nice folks at the shelter are making me comfortable until I go to my new home. If your home has kids, I would love to live with kids over six years old. If you are thinking of adding me to your family and you already have a dog, please bring him or her to the shelter and the staff will introduce us. I get along with some dogs. Aside from my friendly disposition one of my other great qualities is my intelligence. Yes, I am a smart dog who needs my mind and body exercised. The best way for you and I to start relationship is by attending obedience classes, conveniently offered here at the shelter. You and I get a discount when you sign us up! These classes will allow us to learn to work together and think about other activities we can do together like obedience and agility... The weather keeps getting warmer and the possibilities are endless. Come visit me and I promise to open my eyes, and yours, to what a wonderful pet I will make.
