KITTERY - Catch the Reading Bug at the Rice Public Library this summer.

This summer will feature Outdoor Summer Reading Storytimes on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. on July 1, 8, 22 and 29 as well as Aug. 5 and 12. Join the Rice Public Library staff for summer storytimes on the lawn next to the Rice Building and read buggy stories, do buggy crafts and have a yummy snack together.

On July 16 at 1:30 p.m. join Maine Audubon for Bugs in Your Backyard and learn all about the creatures that live near you.

The Maine Discovery Museum and Tony's Bug Zoo will be at the library on Aug. 19 at 6 p.m. Tony, a naturalist from the Maine Discovery Museum, will share creepy, crawly critters with everyone at the library. Have you ever seen a giant, spitting cockroach? At the Rice Public Library this summer, you can!

Please note that all events, with the exception of Outdoor Storytimes, require registration. Parents or caregivers must stay with their children during all events.

For more information or to register, call Jenny at the Rice Public Library at 439-1553.
