YORK - If you love a late-summer motorcycle ride, then you'll want to be a part of the first Motorcycle Run to benefit the fight against Parkinson's disease.

Sanford Institution for Savings has announced it will sponsor the first of what organizers hope will be an annual event to benefit the work of Maine Parkinson Society.

The ride, which will be held Sept. 6, will depart at 1 p.m. from the Sanford Institution for Savings (SIS) Main Office at 900 Main St. in Sanford and will end at the SIS York Branch, located 408 Route 1 in York, with refreshments provided by Mainiax Café at the end of the ride.

The cost to participate is $10 per rider, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Maine Parkinson Society, a 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to improving the quality of life of Maine people with Parkinson's disease.
