THE DOGS

Brady and Bruski

Brady Bruski

These two beautiful boys are Brady and Bruski. They are both two-year-old neutered male mixed breeds who came to us because their previous owners were moving and they could not go along. Bruski, who is the brown and tan one, has hip dysplasia. He gets along just fine for now, and limited exercise of nice, calm leash walks and Glucosamine daily will be essential to keeping him feeling his very best. It would be Brady and Bruski's dream come true to find a nice forever family willing to take them both in. They will do just fine living with cats, dogs and children of all ages. Come down and see these two sweethearts today. Brady and Bruski will make a great team for any family - guaranteed!

Buddy

Buddy

What a handsome man we have here. This is Buddy, an 11-year-old Jack Russell terrier who can't wait to find a nice home to move into. Buddy is a smart little guy who knows the commands "sit" and "down." He will do just fine living with dog-savvy cats, some dogs and children over the age of 10. Buddy would love to have some company so please come down and see him. He will definitely make one lucky family very happy.

Echo

Echo

This is Echo, a three-year-old neutered male greyhound. Echo's racing days are over and now he is looking for a nice forever home to settle down in, and should do just fine living with other canines. Come down and visit Echo today. He will be a great addition to one lucky family.

Rainah

Rainah

This beauty is Rainah, a one-and-a-half-year-old spayed female pitbull who came to us because the landlord would not allow her to stay in her previous owner's home. Rainah can be a bit on the shy side but is very sweet. She is a smart girl who knows the trick "shake" and would love to learn more. Taking Rainah through a basic obedience class would be a great way to bond and learn together. Rainah would love to have some company, so please come to AWS and visit her today. She will do just fine living with cats, male dogs and children over the age of 6 and will surely be a great addition to her forever family.

THE CATS

Shiraz

Shiraz

Shiraz is an eight-year-old spayed female who is cute as a button and absolutely loves company. Arriving as a stray, she has some scarring to her cornea resulting from a previous injury, but no further treatment is necessary. This little girlie has been through enough and deserves a family to call her own!

Princess

Princess

This sweet girl is Princess, a one-year-old short-haired tortoiseshell spayed female who came to us because someone in her previous household had allergies. Princess can't wait to find a loving forever family to go home with. She should do just fine residing with other cats. Princess would love for you to come and get to know her. She will bring smiles and laughter to one great family.

Hookah

Hookah

This handsome little devil is living at our satellite adoption center, Thee Privileged Pet, in York. A spunky young guy who loves to play with anything he can get his hands on, he has made quite a few friends but no one has adopted him yet. This one-year-old neutered male is looking for a family that loves an active cat who likes to play chase for hours or roll around in catnip being fresh. His rough-and-tumble style of play is sometimes too much for laidback cats, but he does extremely well with any other playful felines. A very confident cat indeed, Hookah would certainly stand up to any dog willing to challenge him and would not tolerate one who may chase him. He would do best with a well-balanced dog who will respect him. His bountiful energy and comical entertainment are sure to make you smile. You don t want to miss out on this feline!

Kittens

Kittens

"Kitten Season" is still going strong at AWS. We generally have kittens come in from foster care on the weekends to be placed up for adoption. If you would like more information, call 985-3244, Ext. 112.

OTHER PETS

Donnie

Donnie

Donnie is a one-year-old rat who came to AWS when the family realized that the dog in the household was harassing him. Curious, intelligent and always up for some fun, rats can be great pets for kids but young caretakers should always be supervised by an adult. These animals, like any other, must be treated with kindness and respect.

Marla

Marla

Marla is an adult female lionhead bunny with a pretty, seal point-colored coat. She was found as a stray. If you are interested in Marla come visit her at Reigning Cats and Dogs in Kennebunk. She may be the perfect bunny for you! For their health and wellbeing, as well as for your child's, please make sure an adult will be the primary caretaker and will always supervise any children in the household who are interacting with bunnies.

If you are interested in adopting any of these animals or if you'd like to know who else is available for adoption, please visit the Animal Welfare Society at http://www.animalwelfaresociety.org/ or call us at 985-3244.
