YORK - Hospice of York recently held its 29th Annual Meeting.
The following were elected to the board for the 2008-2009 year.
President Hannah Rothermel, York; Vice President Lu Shurkus, York Beach; Secretary Judy Kimball, Kittery; Treasurer Karen Lynge, York Harbor, and Members at Large Barbara Boschert, Judy Doe, Ralph Thompson, Cynthia Wallace, Dr. Henri Guertin Ouellette, Lynne Tocci and Carolyn Weller, all of York, and Jayne Lilly and Julie Perreault of Eliot.
Hospice of York Director Dee Bickmore, presented her annual certificates of appreciation to Lu Shurkus and Barbara Boschert for their considerable efforts in maintaining an open office while Bickmore was ill. The meeting was held at Pelkey's Funeral Home with a buffet prepared by JMB Caterers.
Hospice of York serves the emotional needs of the terminally ill and the bereaved in the towns of Wells, Ogunquit, York, Kittery, Eliot and the Berwicks with one-on-one volunteers and grief support groups. For more, call 363-7000.
