He ended up at the shelter because his previous owners were going their separate ways and he couldn't come along. Huckleberry is a very smart and outgoing boy. He already knows the command "speak" and would love to learn more. Huckleberry will do well living with children over the age of six and other dogs. This beautiful young lady is Jayden, a three-year-old pitbull who would love to find a nice and caring forever family to go home with. She is extremely sweet and a bit sensitive. Jayden is as smart as a whip and already knows the trick "shake." A basic obedience class would be a great way for Jayden and her new owner to bond and learn together. Hello everyone, my name is Clover! I am a six-year-old spayed female who has a medium-length tortoiseshell-colored coat. I came to the shelter as a stray and now I can't wait to find a safe forever home to call my own. Now that I am an indoor gal, I like to keep my coat as beautiful as I can, so I would love it if my new owners gave me a nice brushing from time to time. I also have food allergies, but as long as I am fed a diet of ZD cat food it should keep those pesky allergies under control. I am a very friendly and laidback gal who loves a nice scratch behind the ear. The people at the Animal Welfare Society have been wonderful to me and have cared for me very well, but I have been here far too long. It would be my dream come true to have a caring forever family to cuddle up with. Pay me a visit and maybe you can make my dream come true!

Oh, hey! My name is Licorice. I am a one-and-a-half-year-old neutered male who has a medium-length black coat with just a bit of white on my chest. The shelter isn't a bad place, with lots of kitty friends to play with and nice people who care for me, but I have been here since late October of 2007 and that is just too long. Having a loving forever family would be great and I can't wait until I get one. Having a nice warm lap to curl up on would be the best. I am quite a little love bug and my personality is charming. Ethan and Folly are both very friendly adult parakeets. Ethan is the darker blue and Folly is the turquoise one. They are the best of friends and would love to find a home together. Come visit Ethan and Folly today and you will see for yourself what friendly guys they are.

Papa is an albino Rex rabbit with a short, velvety coat. He has been at the AWS since November of 2007 and that is too long! Easily handled, Papa is a tolerant guy who will do well with respectful children. He recently made his television debut on NECN - check the AWS website to see the tape! Papa is more than ready to settle in and have a family to call his own. Prone to the sniffles, Papa will need a stress-free environment and a little extra TLC to live out his years happily.
