THE DOGS

Jake

Jake

Meet Jake, a nine-and-a-half-year-old neutered male Springer spaniel who is on the search for a forever home. Jake is very friendly and smart, too. He knows the command "sit" and gets along with just about everyone. Jake wouldn't mind sharing his new home with cats, dogs and children over the age of 10. He would love nothing more than to find a loving forever family, so come visit with Jake. You may find that your family is just the one he has been looking for.

Myser

Myser

This cutie pie is Myser, an eight-year-old neutered male terrier mix who came to the AWS as a stray. Myser can be shy at first, but when he finds out that you just want to be his friend, he comes out of his shell and is actually quite outgoing. He is a sweet little guy who should do just fine sharing his new home with cats, dogs and children over the age of 6. It would be Myser's dream come true to find a loving forever family and a safe home to call his own. Visit with him here at the shelter and you will surely fall in love with him at first sight.

Rainah

Rainah

This beauty is Rainah, a one-and-a-half-year-old spayed female pitbull who came to the AWS because the landlord would not allow her to stay in her previous owner's home. Rainah can be a bit on the shy side but is very sweet. She is a smart girl who knows the trick "shake" and would love to learn more. Taking her through a basic obedience class would be a great way for both Rainah and her new owners to bond and learn together. Basic obedience classes and other dog classes are offered at the shelter. Rainah would love to get some company, so come down and visit her today. She will do just fine living with cats, male dogs and children over the age of 6. Rainah will surely be a great addition to one very lucky family.

THE CATS

Church

Church

This handsome man is Church, a three-year-old neutered gray cat who came to the AWS as a stray. Church is staying at PetSmart while dreaming of the day that he has a safe home and a loving forever family to call his own. Come visit this sweet guy and you will see for yourself what a cool cat Church is.

Dean

Dean

Howdy, the name is Dean. I am a two-year-old neutered male who has a nice short brown tiger and white coat. I was found abandoned and this is why I am here at the shelter. I can't wait to have a safe forever home to call my own. Spend some time with me and you will see for yourself what a great guy I am.

Sam I Am

Sam I Am

Sam I Am is my name and I am a one-year-old neutered male kitty who has a nice medium-length buff-colored tiger coat. I ended up here at the shelter because my previous owner's landlord would not allow cats. I can't wait to find a nice forever family to move in with. Visit with me and maybe you will find that I am just the kitty you've been looking for.

Whistle

Whistle

Little Miss Whistle has been at Animal Welfare Society far too long; she's ready to pack her bags and get on out of here. At the young age of three years, Whistle sees life as a big adventure with much exploring to do. Being the independent girl that she is, she prefers to seek attention from her friends with a friendly head-butt and a bit of a purr. Her free-spirited nature does not make her a good fit for little ones as she does not enjoy being picked up or doted over. She loves toys and gets very excited when her loved ones play "chase the mouse" with her. Whistle is looking to find a home where she can be appreciated for her beauty with respect and dignity. Though she may not be a lap cat, she will bring her family years of delight with her quirky personality and dazzling beauty.

OTHER PETS

Daisy Mae

Daisy Mae

This is Daisy Mae, an adult female mixed-breed albino bunny with a pure white coat and red-colored eyes. She's a friendly girl who loves to be petted and will get along just fine with respectful children. Visit Daisy in the small animal room at the Animal Welfare Society.

Lona

Lona

Hello! My name is Lona. I am an adult female parakeet who came to the shelter as a stray. I can't wait to find a nice understanding forever family. After everything I have been through I am a bit nervous with new things. I get a little excited when people put their hand into my cage, but once I get to know you I calm down a bit. Visit with me here at the Animal Welfare Society in the front lobby. You may find that I am just the pet you have been looking for.
