SIGNS OF SUMMER. When self-taught photographer and artist Gail Hawthorne visited the Seacoast this summer with Green Mountain Tours of Larchmont, N.Y., she was captivated by the natural beauty of the York-Ogunquit area, and especially the views that can be seen along Ogunquit's Marginal Way, such as the charming rowboats pictured here. Believing that, as she put it, a picture is a poem without words, Hawthorne contacted The York Independent as the local newspaper of York-Ogunquit to share these scenes of summer with our readers.
