YORK BEACH - Mary Elizabeth (Neary) Judy, 89, retired secretary, loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, died peacefully at her home on Aug. 19, 2008.
She was born May 18, 1919, in Somerville, Mass., to Martin J. and Emily F. (Clarke) Neary, both from Ireland. She attended St. Ann's and Somerville High School before working as a secretary/receptionist for an area company. On April 22, 1950, she married Jady C. Judy. She was a devoted wife and mother who was also a member of the Franciscan's Order and parishioner of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Milford, N.H., where she lived for many years.
She enjoyed reading Agatha Christie, watching classic movies and making puns.
She is survived by two brothers, Donald and Bob Neary, both of York Beach; six children, Kathleen Judy of Manchester, N.H., Marybeth Judy of Bar Harbor, Kevin Judy of Boyton Beach, Fla., Robert Judy and his wife, Pamela of Milford, N.H., and Richard Judy and Debbie Judy, both of York Beach, and three grandchildren whom she adored, Diane, Felicia and Nicole.
She will be greatly missed by all who have known her.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St. Christopher's Church, York, with burial will be in the First Parish Cemetery.

David Kinkade
YORK - David Kinkade, 58, husband of Gayle Frost Kinkade, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 24, 2008, with his family by his side.
He was born in Luxora, Ark., the son of Daniel and Margaret (Lashmore) Kinkade. He was a loving husband, father and proud Marine veteran of the Vietnam War with two Purple Hearts. He worked at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and owned and operated the Eliot Feed store for many years.
He and his wife recently moved to Florida. While in Florida he was a lieutenant for Allegiance Security. He loved the outdoors, fishing and traveling. He was very proud that he and his wife had traveled to every state in the U.S., Alaska being his favorite.
He leaves behind his daughters, Shelly Hansen and husband Dave of Alaska and Vicki Labrecque and husband Paul of Dover, and his son, Eric Kinkade of York. He had five loving grandchildren that will miss their "Bampy," Andy, Zachary, Nicholas, Mathew and Alayna. He also leaves a brother, Dwayne, of Ohio, and three sisters, Suzie, Brenda and Marie, of Arkansas.
His brother Donald and his sister Dale predeceased him.
He gave much love and will be missed by all.
Services will be private with Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home directing arrangements.

Daisy D. Ricker
YORK - Daisy D. Ricker, 98, a long-time resident of Hilltop Drive, died peacefully, Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008, in Durgin Pines in Kittery.
She was born July 6, 1910, in Boston, Mass., daughter of Claude and Daisy (Allen) Dennis. She was a member of the York Street Baptist Church for 60 years, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed traveling the world with her husband.
Her husband of 48 years, Curtice M. Ricker, died in 1981.
She leaves a son, Frederick J. Ricker, and his wife, Sandra J. Ricker, of York; a sister, Bernadette Dennis of Weymouth, Mass.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
A daughter, Janet R. Cumming, three brothers and five sisters predeceased her.
A memorial service for Daisy will be held at 1 p.m. on Sept. 20 in the York Street Baptist Church, 61 York St., York. Burial will be private in the First Parish Cemetery. Lucas & Eaton Funeral Home, http://www.lucaseatonfuneralhome.com/, is directing arrangements.
