Article Image MIKAL IN CONCERT. Don't miss the music of Mikal on Sept. 25 at the York Street Baptist Church and Sept. 26 at Portsmouth Christian Academy in Dover, N.H. Mikal is an Afro-Caribbean musician from Dangriga, Belize, and his music is an energetic, enthusiastic mix of gospel, reggae and pop with a strong gospel message. Mikal writes the majority of his own music and, because the town he grew up in had no professional music training, he taught himself and his band members to play the instruments they use. One theme of his music is a strong message to youth that your choices affect your future. Both area concerts will begin at 7 p.m. A free-will offering will be accepted at the York Street Baptist Church concert. A suggested donation of $7 is requested for the PCA concert. For more about the York performance, call the church at 363-2177.
