THE DOGS

Abby and Jake

Abby
Jake

These two are Abby and Jake! Abby is an eight-and-a-half-year-old spayed female cocker spaniel who is buff in color, and Jake is a seven-and-a-half-year-old neutered male cocker spaniel who is chocolate in color. The two came in because their previous owners had no time for them. Both Abby and Jake are very sweet and affectionate. They would love to find a loving and understanding family that would be willing to take them both home and also be willing to help them with their housetraining. They will both do just fine living with other dogs, cats and children over the age of 12. Visit with Abby and Jake and you will see for yourself what a great pair they are.

Betsy

Betsy

This sweet girl is Betsy. She is a twelve-year-old spayed female Lab mix who came to us as a stray. Betsy is a gentle girl who can't wait to find a loving and understanding forever family. She enjoys napping on a nice comfy doggie bed. Betsy has been living in our staff kitchen since she came to us. In her stay here we have found that Betsy has to be let out to do her "business" often, and this is something that her new owners will have to be understanding of. Betsy would love for you to pay her a visit. She would be delighted to share her new home with low-key dogs, cats and children who will respect her age. Come meet Betsy and she will melt your heart, guaranteed.

Diggs

Diggs

This friendly and playful guy is Diggs. He is a one-and-a-half-year-old neutered male mastiff/pit-bull mix who came to us because he was found abandoned. Diggs can't wait to find a nice forever family with whom he can play and play and play. He won't mind sharing his new home with some other dogs and children over the age of 10. We will not be asking Diggs to share his new home with any felines, though. It is a must for Diggs to go through a basic obedience class here at the shelter. This class will be a fun way for Diggs and his new owners to learn and bond. One other perk to bring him through one of our basic obedience classes is that you will be fully reimbursed for the class once he is finished with it. Come and visit with Diggs. He will make one special family very happy for many years to come.

Mickey Thompson

Mickey Thompson

This big boy is Mickey Thompson. He is a seven-year-old neutered male who came to us because his owners no longer wanted a dog. Mickey is a very sweet guy who is cool as a cucumber. He is very easygoing and gets along with everyone. Mickey will do great with other dogs, cats and children of all ages. He would love nothing more than to find a loving forever family that has a nice comfy dog bed and children to play with. Visit with Mickey Thompson at our shelter and you will see firsthand what an all-around great guy he is.

Chelsea

Chelsea

Chelsea is staying at Ann-imals Pet Supply Store in on Route 1 in York while she waits for a forever family to call her own. She will do just fine living with another cat. Chelsea would love to have some company, so come visit her at Ann-imals!

Hookah

Hookah

This handsome little devil is a spunky young guy who loves to play with anything he can get his paws on! Hookah, a one-year-old neutered male, is looking for a family that loves an active cat who likes to play chase for hours or roll around in catnip being fresh. His rough-and-tumble style of play is sometimes too much for laidback cats, but he does extremely well with any other playful felines. A very confident cat indeed, Hookah would certainly stand up to any dog willing to challenge him and would not tolerate one who may chase him. He would do best with a well-balanced dog who will respect him. Visit Hookah at Thee Privileged Pet in York; his bountiful energy and comical entertainment are sure to make you smile. You don t want to miss out on this feline!

Sammy

Sammy

What is our little Sammy looking at? She is a seven-year-old shorthaired black kitty with just a bit of white on her chest. She came in because she was abandoned by her previous owners and would love to find a nice forever family to go home with.
