YORK VILLAGE - Sponsored by Gamers Rock and hosted by the York Public Library, the library is the place to be for teens who love videogames on Friday nights.
Gamers Night is set for Fridays at 5:30 p.m. with three stations set up with consoles to play PS2, Wii or X-box 360 with such games as Guitar Hero III, Rock Band, Call of Duty Series, Lego Star Wars, Need for Speed HP2, Carbon and more.
"We have access to more stations if you'd like to bring your own consoles and favorite games to share with the group," noted the group's organizer, Janalee Moquin. "We'll spend the evening rocking, racing, battling ... while enjoying the company of others who enjoy gaming just as much as you do, or maybe even more!"
The evening will also feature pizza slices, drinks and snacks for sale with any money raised going toward the purchase of videogames for the library to offer in its Teen Area for everyone to enjoy.
Gamers Night is for those 12 years of age and older, with parent permission. Games must be rated "T" or lower, with no "M" games allowed.
Preregistration is required and space is limited. Register by emailing Janalee at janaleemoquin8@yahoo.com.
