YORK - The York Food Pantry is holding a raffle, selling chances for $1 through Oct. 19 to support the pantry's efforts to make sure no local resident must go hungry.
The winners will be drawn at York's Harvestfest celebration on Oct. 19.
The pantry has received tremendous support from restaurants in the area and has 10 terrific prizes for the Harvestfest Raffle, including the grand prize of a six-course gourmet dinner for two and wine pairing with each course at Arrows Restaurant in Ogunquit.
Other prizes include dinner for two and a bottle of wine at MC Perkins Cove; an Inn on the Blues $100 gift certificate; dinner for two at the Dockside; dinner for two at the Union Bluff; a Stage Neck Inn $75 gift certificate; a Chapman Cottage $50 gift certificate; a My Wine-y Sister $50 gift certificate; Sunday Brunch for two at the York Harbor Inn, and a Wild Willy's $25 gift certificate. Chances are available at the Greater York Region Chamber of Commerce, from York Food Pantry volunteers or by contacting York Food Pantry Director Tom Whalen at 363-4056.
